Carey/Taylor (CT) - The Beginning
The Forging of CT
CT was the creation of the Carey family (Shane, his wife Tracy and daughters Taylor and Tori). Shane has been a die hard performance enthusiast and "car guy" since before he could drive a car.
In 2016 Shane decided to focus his considerable automotive technical knowledge to help his friends and family push their cars to their venerable limits and with that focus CT Performance was born... in a barn... in a tiny Michigan town... in the middle of cornfields.
While the first clients were friends and family the good news of fast cars done right did what good news does... it spread! Today CT is the premiere late model GM performance shop in the midwest.
CT Performance's mission is simple. Help clients realize their car goals through top quality work, brutal honesty and a welcoming environment that makes having work done at CT more than a transaction - rather a rewarding experience where new power levels are discovered and new friends are found.
CT - The Present...And Beyond
Downhome & Worldwide
In 2021 the barn got bigger. Moving from the foundational barn at Shane's house to a 12,500 sq foot facility was the next logical step in spreading the CT word and allowing CT to reach a wider audience both locally in Michigan and worldwide.
With this facility (still located in a tiny town... in the middle of cornfields) CT is making major investments in all areas of aftermarket performance. These investments include an in-ground Dynojet Dyno, enough hoists and tools to keep the cars rumbling out the front door and a 5-axis CNC to digitize what was once a secret recipe for squeezing out those last bits of unsqueezable performance. Oh, and some more secrets we'd care not to mention.
So, if you're ever on M-52 and you see corn but you hear American muscle - stop on by and say hello.
